Overview
HOW BOTH DHAM YATRA WORKS
It is said that the Kedarnath temple is one of the twelve naturally created “Jyotirlingas” in India, with a rich history spanning more than 1000 years.
This is the time in the mythical Mahabharata when the Pandavas searched for Lord Shiva. For the murder of their blood brethren, the Kauravas, they pleaded for redemption.
To avoid this meeting, Lord Shiva thereafter assumed the form of a bull.
In the Indian state of Uttarakhand’s town of Badrinath, there is a Hindu temple called the Badrinarayana Temple that honours Vishnu.
The temple is also one of the 108 Divya Desams, or sacred sites, that are devoted to Vishnu, who is revered as Badrinath. Due to the harsh weather in the Himalayan area, it is only open for six months of the year (from the end of April to the beginning of November).
Neelkanth Peak looks down on Badrinath. It is situated 218 kilometres away from the Kedarnath Temple.
Lord Vishnu is the subject of this temple.
When Lord Vishnu pondered under the Badri Tree is mentioned in history. He did this for a thousand years with the intention of making humanity better.
