Trek Itinerary

On the first day of your Phulara Ridge walk, you'll leave Dheradun for Sankri, a charming tiny town in Uttarakhand with 250 dwellings nearby. The settlement, which is made up of modest Dhabas and businesses, is also the starting point for several other treks such as Kedarkantha and Har Ki Dun. The little settlement in the lap of the Himalayas is breathtaking, with a mesmerising view of the still-standing Swargarohini peak. You'll pass via Nainbagh, Naugaon, Purola, Jarmola, Mori Naitwari, and ultimately Sankri on your way to Sankri. From Dehradun, it takes 8 to 10 hours to go reach Sankri.

On the second day of your Phulara Ridge trek, you will travel towards Sikolta from Sankri base camp, passing through a wonderful pine forest and arriving at a little bridge to cross after 1.5 hours of elevation. While ascending, remember to take careful steps; subsequently, you'll come across some ruined dhabas, and after 30 minutes on the trail, you'll arrive at the first destination, "Jainot Thatch." Later in the trip, you will need to ascend for another 10 minutes towards Marikoda, where you will be able to see the splendour of Dhunda and a peek of the Phulara Ridge on your left. You may be astonished by how much you will see throughout the entire Phulara ridge, since Uttarakhand treks are already well-known for their breathtaking mountain views. As a result, the Phulara Ridge walk combines everything that makes it so beautiful and ultimate. Snow-capped mountain peaks will be visible and appealing, and the ridge your cross will traverse will provide you with plenty of adventure.

A excellent rise from Sikolta via the woodland patch for around 30 minutes. The jungle is dimly lit and densely forested. Keep an eye out for a few downed trees on the route. You come to a bridge farther down the route. A short descent leads to the bridge, followed by a strong ascent through a portion of landslide terrain. This segment is only 100 metres long. A lovely creek flows beneath the bridge, and you may fill your water bottle there. The valley is divided by a bridge and a creek. Continue upward for another 15 minutes to reach 'Karsu Thatch,' a larger clearing. Yellow flowers abound on the grass. The Kedarkantha mountain may be seen to the right as you enter this large clearing. From this vantage point, you can observe the drop in the tree line. Take the slow, steady rise and stay to the left. For the next 30 minutes, the elevation is gentle. The route is currently filled with rohdo trees and few Bhoj trees. After the monsoon, the flowers blossom. You enter the beautiful green meadows as the clearings begin to open up. You may now enjoy walking on the green cover, which is a pleasure for your eyes and legs.

From the campground, you can see the top of the ridge. There is a pleasant uphill to begin the day. The climb to the top of the ridge takes around 45 minutes. On this walk, you'll see a lot of Himalayan Monals. On this day, and as I approached the ridge, I observed seven Monals. The view from the top of the ridge is breathtaking. A view of the snow-capped mountains from a distance of 250 degrees. You can see the ridge ahead of you, with modest ascents leading to the conclusion of this lovely route. You can feel the snow-capped mountains moving with you as you travel. After another hour of hiking, you'll reach the trail's conclusion, when it makes a right turn. A few stones placed along the route provide the impression that you are entering a grand entryway to admire the magnificent panorama. Hanuman Top, Sarutal Top, DKD, Bandarpoonch, Kalanag, Swargarohini, Hata Peak(HKD), Ranglana, Devkyara valley, Lekha Top, Vijay Top, Kedarkantha are the peaks from right to left. From this point, take the first right onto the trail. At the summit, a Vodafone signal can be picked up on occasion. There are several descents and ascents to be made. The Sarutal base is where you must cross.

The route would descend all the way to Thaluka settlement. The descent across the meadows takes the first 30 minutes. Here are a few broken Gujjar houses. To the right, you can see the route coming from the Taloti valley. Join this trail after descending. Continue descending and turning right. The tree line begins to rise. The floor is carpeted with lovely golden flowers. Just lying down makes it feel like you're in a bed. After another 30 minutes of downhill, you reach the forest. At first, there are wide, decent pathways that go into the forest. The forest is large, and it's simple to become lost if you stray off the path. The trees are initially spaced with plenty of light entering through the shelter. Later, you will be surrounded by large pine trees. You appear to be a little individual walking across a vast jungle. You must get through several trees that have fallen to the ground. While jumping from one tree to the next, a group of inquisitive langurs observes your hiking method.

Prepare breakfast and go early in the morning to ensure that you get in Dehradun on schedule. Lunch may be eaten on the road.
