Trek Itinerary
Arrive at Dehradun early in the morning, about 7 a.m. Dehradun is well connected by road, rail, and air to all of India's main cities. Our van will pick you up from Dehradun ISBT and transport you to Sankri. Sankri is a tiny hamlet in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district, located near the Govind wildlife reserve. Sankri is around 200 kilometres from Dehradun, and it takes about 7-8 hours to go there. Mussoorie, Kempty, Nainbagh, Purola, Mori, and Netwada are all on the way to Sankri. After arriving in Sankri, enjoy supper and spend the night at a hotel/guest house.
Get up and take a one-hour trip to Taluka to start your day. Taluka is a tiny settlement that serves as the beginning point for several hikes, including Ruinsara Tal, Har Ki Dun, and Bali Pass. Sankri is 12 kilometres away from Taluka. The journey begins at Taluka village. The distance you'll have to travel today is 17 kilometres. The path to Seema camp includes a mix of uphill and downhill terrain. The route winds its way through a pine forest and beside the rushing Supin River. Along the route, you'll pass by the charming villages of Gangaad and Osla. The journey to the campground will take around 6-7 hours. Dinner will be served, and campers will be accommodated for the night.
The distance between Seema camp and Rainbasera is 9 kilometres. The walk is brief, but the terrain is more tough than the day before. After a one-hour hike, you'll arrive at Debshu Bugyal, a tiny yet beautiful meadow. From this meadow, you'll get your first glimpse of snowcapped peaks. Mt. Kalanag, popularly known as Black Peak, is among the summits. After passing through this meadow, you'll cross a bridge over the Supin River. The route continues through deep thickets. The journey to the campground will take around 4-5 hours. Enjoy the views from the campground after you've arrived. Rainbasera is one of the trek's most lovely campsites. Your tents will be set up beside the river Supin. Tents will be used for the night.
The 8-kilometer hike today will take you to the Ruinsara tal. The path is mildly hilly at times and flat at others. There will be some difficult areas where you will require hand help. The hike to Ruinsara Lake will take about 4-5 hours. Relax and spend some time at the lake after you've arrived. Views of lowlands and mountain ranges abound from the lake. The campgrounds will be located 300 metres from the lake, near the cabin. Camping with a bonfire and an overnight stay.
Start your descent to Rainbasera as soon as you wake up. We'll follow the same route back to our tent. Dinner and an overnight stay in a camp are included.
Today we will trek to Seema Camp after breakfast. If time permits, we may also visit the lovely village of Osla. Tents for dinner and the night stay.
This would be the trek's final day. We'll travel down the same path to Taluka village, and then drive to Sankri. Staying at a hotel or a guest home for the night.
We'll start driving to Dehradun after breakfast. We will arrive in Dehradun after an 8-hour travel and drop you off at ISBT. The journey has come to an end.
