Trek Itinerary

For the Rupin Pass Trek, you must arrive in Dehradun early in the morning, around 6 a.m., and board a vehicle bound for Mori. Mori is a peaceful hamlet that is bordered by greenish and yellowish paddy fields and is located on the banks of the legendary Tons River. Mori, which is located in the Tons Valley, has its own culture and history. Return to your tents for the night as your Rupin Pass Trek begins the next day.

Enjoy a hike through rhododendron trees and fields on this day. After a few hours of walking, you will reach Sewa. Spend the night in tents after a fantastic day.

This is a really beautiful day for photographers. As you pass through various hamlets, acquire a good sense of their local culture and way of life. Enjoy the journey through mixed woodlands and the first glimpses of the Dhauladhar range's snowy ridges. Arrive at Jakha, the day's last hamlet and also the highest in the area. Return to your tents later that night.

It's a lovely stroll through the blue pine and maple groves. The route begins to drop to the river after a time. A little bridge connects the route to the valley's real left side. We set our tent next to the river, at a popular shepherding spot.

On the river, you'll come across the first snow bridge. For a bit after the snow bridge, there will be a steep incline. At this moment, the picturesque grandeur of Rupin Valley and the Rupin River is just mesmerising. From here on out, there will be a lot of snow crossings, and the snow will be quite soft in some areas, even down to your knee level. You will arrive to Dhandras Thach campground after a few kilometres of icy adventure. The Rupin Waterfall and snow-capped summits will be seen from this campground.

This is the shortest hike, but it is also the most difficult. Today, there will be many climbs that pass via two waterfalls. As the snow melts, the risk of slipping will increase dramatically. In gorgeous environment, you must trek steeply from Lower Waterfall to Upper Waterfall. This three-kilometer trek will be the most difficult. Dinner and a night at the camp.

On the climb to the pass, there are spectacular views of the hanging glaciers and snowfields. It is a small and steep trail through the rocks that may need the use of a rope in the event of snow. Great views of the Kinnaur Kailash range can be seen from the pass. We make our way down to the alpine meadows, where there are several camping choices.

Today's hike takes you through a lovely blue pine, deodar, and oak forest with views of the Sangla valley. The slope to Sangla, a town connected to Shimla by road, is steep. Shimla to Sangla We shall get in Shimla late at night. So prepare ahead of time for your visit to Shimla. You can take the Volvo to Delhi or the base location the next day.
